PK-12 Online Teacher Training in the COVID-19 World
Abstract: This paper focuses on teacher training conducted during summer 2020 in the midst of COVID-19 for PK-12 teachers in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Training was focused on supporting all levels of PK-12 education in an online environment and helping educators and support personnel in meeting student needs through Web-based instruction. The focus of the training was on setting up an individualized course framework that each instructor could use in his or her course and specific subject matter. The result was higher efficacy and confidence in teaching PK-12 students during this global pandemic for the 2020-2021 academic year.
