Abstract: This session poses the question, How can we advance just technology integration? We consider both the non-neutrality of technology, and the non-neutrality of the societies to which technologies are introduced. We wonder whether framing justice as issues of equity and access allows (White and other privileged) scholars to talk around issues of systemic racism, instead of directly confronting White supremacy. Finally, we aim to take informed action in order to work toward a just implementation of technology. We recommend the possibilities of making action plans for our pedagogy, our research, and finally, as a collective, leveraging the power of the institution of SITE.
