Abstract: This best practices’ session will spotlight how a team of literacy educators used Web 2.0 tools to engage preservice teachers in learning course content in a synchronous learning environment. Throughout the sequence of literacy courses, preservice teachers were exposed to new literacy content through presentations from instructors. Preservice teachers would then have opportunities to engage with the content using creativity tools. Preservice teachers would work individually and in small groups to use Web 2.0 tools to further analyze new content and capture what they had learned. The Web 2.0 tools used during the courses are those that students can then utilize when they transition into teaching in their own elementary classrooms.

No presider for this session.
