Abstract: The purpose of this Best Practices session will be to provide teacher educators an in-depth explanation, demonstration (with examples), and Q&A time about the teaching practice of using Twitter as a reflective tool. The session will be adaptable enough that participants (including K-12 teachers or higher education instructors) can apply the practice of using Twitter as a reflective tool to their teaching. This session will also support instructors/teachers looking to find an alternative to online discussion boards (through the use of Twitter) or looking to find a way to build social presence in their course through Twitter.
