Abstract: This paper describes a review of commercially available, educational Augmented Reality apps for both the iOS and Android operating systems. A total of 237 apps were found through a search of the app stores for Augmented Reality. Each app was downloaded and installed on a mobile device and reviewed for usability, functionality, and educational content. This review indicated that the vast majority of available educational Augmented Reality apps were of relatively poor quality and content.
