Abstract: Instructional designers working in higher education institutions have been struggling to keep faculty motivated and meet tight deadlines. To help faculty better understand the design process and ensure successful project delivery, it is critical to developing a workflow that incorporates best practices on managing multiple projects. The purpose of this brief paper is to provide instructional designers a practical guide to managing online course projects through identifying key milestones, developing a realistic timeline, and applying a RACI chart to clarify roles and responsibilities.
