Abstract: Initial teacher education (ITE), programs during current times have seen a revolution in the use of tools and technologies in instructional practices. The unexpected emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has reconceptualised how teacher education need to be carried out at short notice. A study was conducted with students regarding their attitudes about social media and technologies for learning. Student indications before Covid-19 was primarily a distinction between social media for social reasons and a general disruptiveness for learning.
