Abstract: In this 21st Century, it is likely to assume that new teachers are joining the teaching professional with sufficient skills on how to teach with Information Communication Technologies (ICTs). Unfortunately, in most cases the assumption is not always true. Many South African teacher education students have not domesticated the new technologies in their teaching and learning, hence they do not feel ready to teach with the digital tools when they join the teaching professional.
