Share Paper: Supporting Digital Humanity through Developing an Open Source Augmented Reality Authoring Platform

Abstract: During the summer 2019, a team of scholars, students, technologists, and librarians collaborated to explore creative ways to bring research in local history into life, through developing an augmented reality app. The collaborative team worked at a research lab for the humanities also wanted to develop an open source augmented reality (AR) authoring platform which allows anyone who is interested in developing an AR application for digital humanity can freely use. A recent sample of digital humanity AR app will be presented and the authoring platform will be introduced with a link to download.
