Abstract: Many trials for programming class were practiced in various places for the upcoming requirement course from 2020 at elementary schools. We have been practicing programming education with use of Scratch at local elementary schools from 2016 as aiming not only for “Programming education is an enjoyable learning course at elemental schools” but also for educational activity to learn a logical thinking ability required by “Teaching guidelines” from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). The present study considers a logical thinking ability as programming thinking and also aims to design and evaluate a questionnaire measuring the ability as a learning level quantitatively.
