Supporting Teachers in Technology Integration: Veteran teachers' reactions to technology
Abstract: Increasing connectivity between people and information over the Internet has led to a change in the way students learn. To stay relevant, teachers are pushed to use technology in the classroom in changing pedagogical methods that seem foreign to veteran teachers with established pedagogical methods before the advent of computers. This study has found that veteran teachers experience several negative emotions and high levels of frustration. This insight can be used to develop and maintain professional development opportunities to better serve and retain the veteran teacher population.
