Share Paper: Negotiating a Co-Taught Interdisciplinary STEM Education Class in an Online Environment

Abstract: This presentation is intended to give the audience an overview of how we integrated and then co-taught the first iteration of two courses in a fully online, graduate STEM Education Endorsement, in an effort to model content integration while addressing the needs of STEM teachers for professional learning about integrative planning and implementation of STEM curriculum. We intend to follow our presentation with a brief discussion of ideas on integrating online teacher education courses and content, the lessons learned from co-teaching two fully online and integrated courses, and our plans for co-teaching the second iteration of these online, integrated courses.
