Abstract: open secondary school in korea is one of the online based educational institutions 82 percent of open secondary school students are adults who are more than 20 and mainly consist students of 40s and 50s as most learners are adult learners their level of basic academic ability is very low therefore the online tutoring system is operated to improve the basic academic ability of adult learners from this year online tutoring programs are divided into offering text messages and mail providing learning contents by level 1 1 real time video lesson and regular real time small group video lessons among them small group real time video lesson is composed of small group with less than 10 learners per tutor and runs the class in real time the purpose of this study is to explore instructional design principles different from online contents in online based real time video lessons in addition the second purpose is to analyze the learner's response to real time video lessons
