Abstract: Online learning has become an integral component of higher education with 31.6 % of all college students (over 6 million) participating in online courses (Seaman, Allen, and Seaman, 2018). While the exponential growth of online courses has been focused on meeting the needs of students, little research exists that examines instructor effectiveness (Thomas, 2018). Additionally, many of the current online evaluation models focus on the design of the courses while overlooking online instructional behaviors of course instructors.
