Abstract: In the paper, a model is proposed to obtain the student profile based on the style of learning and the way to think. With this purpose, a computer system was developed that considers the model of the student profile applied to an object-oriented programming course (OOP). The system is a tool for analyzing student performance; in particular, in the area of OOP. This tool allowed relating the profiles of the student with the performance in the course.
