Abstract: With the continual disaggregation of higher education, micro-credentialing is becoming an important way to recognize specific competencies and skills and develop workforce readiness. Graduate and undergraduate nursing programs are developed with the necessary scrutiny and approval of national nursing boards, and its program developers strive to introduce educational innovation into course delivery to enhance the learner experience. This paper discusses ideas to create a micro-badge program in which graduate nurses create Open Education Resources (OERs) that are shared out with the economically developing world as part of a capstone experience.
