Abstract: This study proposes a supporting system that helps learners to attain the skill of “reflection in action”. Specifically, the system records speech and video footage simultaneously during an exercise. Speech is converted into text in real time, using offline voice recognition technology, and is tagged to the corresponding video footage. After the exercise, the learner can reflect on their performance by watching footage that corresponds with the speech transcript. Using simple application examples, the study further offers an overview of the system currently under development, giving an insight into its future prospects.
