Abstract: We live in the era of technology; consequently, we are all digital citizens. Digital citizenship is certainly an important topic that needs to gain more attention from every teacher and parent. The trend of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) has increased the use of technology among the students in the educational setting in Kuwait. Moreover, students are encouraged to be more digitally active and engaged in this digital age. Therefore, it is important to embed the skill and knowledge of digital citizenship into the students when they use the Internet. This paper offers a simple framework to follow for promoting digital citizenship skill and build characters that can best fit in this digital world. Through a narrative inquiry of related research and data, this paper is aimed to provide awareness among teachers and students in Kuwait with easy stages to develop the concept of digital citizenship.
