Abstract: This paper reports on the instructional approach used for the first delivery of a MOOC created to support technology professional development. The purpose of the MOOC was to provide an accessible learning opportunity for teachers, particularly those in developing countries, to expand their knowledge and skills regarding the use of technology-enabled learning. Results of the TEL MOOC evaluation indicate that engaging participants in discussions, resource sharing, and authentic activity plan development support deepened understandings of the use of technology.
