Share Paper: “Digital Natives” at Traditional University: How Ready are they for Online Learning?
Abstract: In the academic year 2015-2016, staff and faculty at a traditionally brick-and-mortar central Texas university that has seen an increasing number of courses being delivered online wanted to provide potential online students with an assessment tool, a Student Readiness Survey, which would help students determine their potential success for online/hybrid coursework. The findings from this survey show that regardless of classification both undergraduate and graduate students appear to be ready, willing, and able to take online/hybrid courses.
