Abstract: In this session, participants will learn about best practices and lessons learned for supporting student facilitation of asynchronous online discussions in asynchronous online master's level courses. Specifically, they will learn about the steps they can take to help students facilitate asynchronous online discussions, including teaching them how to craft open-ended questions using the revised Bloom’s taxonomy (Anderson et al., 2001), as well as the expectations for facilitating asynchronous online discussions.
