E-learn, the renowned annual world conference on E-learning, has landed in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. For the first time we can welcome you in this so important part of the United States. History has been written just a few miles away from our conference venue, the beautiful Westin Alexandria. We invite you to join colleagues and friends from 32 different countries in a conference full of knowledge, networking, reflection, professionalization and fun.

This year’s E-learn covers again many different topics from the ever-present MOOCs to changing institutional paradigms for online education to more rare topics as cyber field trips and virtual simulation technologies in neurosurgery. Did you see our line up of keynote speakers? Prensky, Mayer, Clark,… all giants in the world of educational technology. Noteworthy to mention are also the outstanding award papers. Take a closer look at these and try to scout the new generation of gurus here. All award papers are highlighted with a special symbol in the program. These will all be included in AACE’s book ‘Education and Information Technology Annual 2017: A Selection of AACE Award Papers. Free for download in the LearnTechLib in spring 2017.

Since we already started with the preparations for E-learn 2018 I can already tell you that we again found a perfect venue in Canada, next year we will be in Vancouver, British Colombia. Do you want to give us some help in organizing E-learn? Don’t hesitate to become involved as volunteer, reviewer or for example as an active member of a SIG, and maybe you will also end up pretty soon as a member of our Executive Committee. Please talk to us if you want more information or if you have great ideas how to make everyone’s conference experience even better. More...
