Usability in a visual interface of an intelligent teaching system
Abstract: This paper describes the research methodology used to evaluate the usability, usefulness, acceptance of intelligent teaching system called ProgEst. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach to understanding and deepens the usability of the system from the perspective of the participants in a natural environment and in relation to the context. An approach to the concepts of vision-based interface with emphasis on facial expressions, establish patterns that allow identification of emotions as a source of nonverbal communication and visual description and identification is made. This is related to the usability metrics based on vision. We want to generate a degree of autonomy in our system using cognitive and visual emotions and events of the environment; allowing to have more information during the decision-making process in this case allows the choice of best strategies for interaction.
