Abstract: In Japan, Information Studies has been set as a compulsory subject area pertaining to informatics since 2003 at the upper secondary level. However, the Central Council of Education pointed out that the existing method of informatics education in Japan does not cultivate students’ problem-solving abilities. In order to improve the situation,,our team developed the gaming instructional materials and concurrently constructed a design framework.
