Abstract: To determine jobs prospects for recent graduates of an Instructional Design and Technology program a research study and market analysis was conducted to determine requirements, skills, and competencies currently sought after for employees whose primary job role would be developing online learning. In this study 58 organizations that included corporate, higher education, government, and K-12 employers were surveyed and interviewed to determine minimum and preferred qualifications for beginning e-Learning developers. These results were aggregated to determine the most important qualities for entry level e-Learning designers, as well as an analysis by industry.
