Abstract: Lights! Camera! Action! Today’s undergraduates move toward graduation in a variety of ways. The demands of the current job market and the widespread use of different tools of technology challenge students to actively engage in their educational journey in more meaningful ways than ever before. E-portfolios are a timely example of how institutions can incorporate technology into a reflective advising process that encourages student participation and provides invaluable assessment data. The goals of this paper and roundtable session are to highlight a progression of three types of e-portfolios that align with institutional/departmental mission and goals, to show how to use these portfolios as a foundation for developmental advising that deepens student learning, and to address the technological and institutional challenges faced during implementation in an effort to facilitate student and faculty buy-in.
