Share Paper: Collaborative Online Learning for Interprofessional Education: Exploration and Analysis Using Participatory Methodology

Abstract: The exploration and analysis phase of a design-based research study was implemented using a participatory action methodology as the foundation to systematically create an interprofessional online learning experience for students in health related professional programs at one private Midwestern university. Theoretical foundations, reasoning for the methodology and description of the method are presented, as well as the results. Data collection and analysis revealed that students identify respect, communication, collegial collaboration and participation as the themes of interprofessional education.
