Abstract: It takes time and dedicated resources to advise and guide online students throughout their online learning journey from start to finish. Join us for a presentation on how we built and use a Canvas Online Community to keep students connected and informed about important steps in their online programs as they progress towards completion. A Program based online community is one way we can help Graduate Program Chairs, advisors and instructors to provide essential information and just in time support that online learners need as they progress towards graduation. Online Communities can help advisors streamline advising, minimize frustrations and improve students’ access to information they need when they need it. Attend this presentation for tips on how to: • Streamline essential information to students • Save time (unnecessary zoom meetings or phone calls) • Minimize emails • Provide best support for online programs • Improve student overall satisfaction in online programs • Provide online students with a one stop shop for program information and resources
