Share Paper: The Integration of Personal Assistant Systems to K-12 Classrooms

Abstract: With the accelerated expansion of technologies across the K–12 curriculum, students’ opportunities to engage with education-focused artificial intelligence (AI) software have increased. How do teachers integrate PA (Personal Assistant) systems to the classroom? This study examined how elementary and secondary teachers planned to integrate PA (Personal Assistant) systems such as Siri and Alexa in instruction. The researchers identified patterns and trends in the projects created by 23 participants and noticed how they revised questions to adapt to PA’s behaviors.
