Abstract: Gamification is a strategy based on using game design elements in non-game contexts. It is related to the promotion of intrinsic motivation. In this work, we proposed the use of gamification to favor the development of creative skills in students of Information Technologies. This through an educational intervention that employs gamification in creative thinking activities using a Constructivist Learning Environment. To validate the hypothesis, we consider a pretest-posttest design, along with quasi-experimental methodology having a non-equivalent control group. An instrument based on standardized creativity tests such as Torrance Test will be created for data collection. The results will be analyzed using ANOVA. This proposal is based on research work that contributes gamification is an important factor in respect to educational motivation; their results indicate the need to identify elements or variables of gamification that affect creativity development and components of creativity required by students in IT.
