Abstract: The collaborative research project FUNDAMENT has the objective of increasing the individual learning success of civil engineering students by using digital university teaching. One part of the project is the development and evaluation of interactive online modules (IOM) in the introductory phase for the engineering mechanics lectures. The IOM consist of learning videos and online exercises. This article explores the effectiveness of these IOM using a classic longitudinal experimental and control group design.
