Abstract: The research on public health clearly outlines the disparate growth between future age groups globally. Technology workshops, linking old and new generations in Hawai`i, will present an opportunity to shrink the digital gap for current kupuna (elders) and attract new kupuna after retirement. These workshops will also engage Gen Z students who want to use their talents and technology skills to generate social change in their own communities. As kupuna work with iPads in the workshops, they will be empowered to share their memories with each other and high school students who think they are "kupuna mentors". In reality, the kupuna will help to shape this newest generation with fresh perspectives and sage advice. Waianae CARE envisions that the proposed intergenerational technology workshops will be integrated within several years into local memory care programs to impede the development of dementia and Alzheimer’s in Hawai`i.
