Abstract: The flipped classroom is gaining attention and support among instructors and professors at the college and university levels as an alternative to more traditional methods of teaching. However, there is little research exploring instructors’ experiences teaching in the flipped classroom. In the current study, ten instructors in a Korean higher education institution participated in in-depth interviews about their teaching experiences in the flipped classroom. Overall, instructors reported a more positive teaching experience and higher engagement in the flipped classroom.
