Abstract: The rapid growth of the video game industry, the corresponding demand for employees combined, and students’ interest in video games has led many universities to add video game design to their curriculum. Often in the form of a game design program in which students learn a broad array of skills that can be applied to video game design. At the University of Idaho we took a different approach.
