Abstract: Adding small group texting discussions to web-based interactive eBooks, is our topic. Our goal is to improve 10 to 11-year-old children’s reading comprehension and motivation to read. Although teacher-led, small-group discussions improve children’s reading comprehension, they are done infrequently, because while the teacher leads four students in discussion the remaining students may be left at their own devices.
