Abstract: Near peer role models are critical for inspiring young women to consider advanced studies in a STEM field generally perceived as being "male." How can a teacher find such role models? A National Science Foundation funded ITEST grant, "SciGirls Gender Equitable Teaching Strategies for STEM and CTE Teachers and Advisors," created online videos that feature diverse role models and review best practices for gender equitable teaching strategies known as the SciGirls 7. These best practices will be shared along with the links to Regionally Emmy award winning Role Model videos.
