Abstract: The New Media Consortium (NMC’s) latest research efforts, the NMC Horizon Report: 2013 K-12 Edition and the NMC Horizon Report: 2013 Higher Education Edition, highlighted ten emerging technologies. They predicted the optimal usage of these technologies in educational settings such as cloud computing, mobile learning, learning analytics, games and gamification, tablet computing, and wearable technology. Preparing and supporting both face-to-face and online teachers to meet the diverse student needs is vital. The best ways to prepare and support teachers is to equip them with knowhow of technologically based tools (tablets). The paper highlights one such company whose mission is to revolutionize content consumption, learning & training using tablets/mobile devices for teachers. The teachers that have used tablets with the android apps in their teaching will be a part of the study upon approval.
