Abstract: In this study we will discuss multi-stabilities of social mobile networking technologies through an analysis of user experiences of a social networked environment as mediating technology. In order to make different stabilities (or variations) visible, we will use a hermeneutic strategy and tell the story of connective experiences in order to, ultimately, trace those that reflect the ways technology is embedded in a use context. In this way, we aim to understand the directions social networked technologies are taking.
